One In An ARMY is extremely proud to announce the results of our November campaign, OIAA Por Venezuela, benefiting Cuatro Por Venezuela!

For those who weren’t with us at the beginning of this campaign, Cuatro Por Venezuela is an organization founded by 4 Venezuelan women. Though they now live in the US, they wanted to do something to help the people back in their country who living through a severe economic crisis – one that plunged many people into poverty. Basic necessities (food, medical & sanitation supplies) are desperately needed and hard to get, so we directed our efforts to the food & formula program for infants.

Through the month of November, 146 ARMY donated to make sure this wonderful family of ours could make a difference! Together, we all raised $3027.21 which will be sent to provide much-needed formula for infants in the largest children’s hospital in Caracas.

This campaign generated a lot of happy tweets from Venezuelan ARMY who were grateful to see ARMY from around the world learn about the situation in their country. We wanted to share the stories they were sending us in tweets and DMs, so we brought back our Through Their Eyes feature.

A first hand account of the situation in Venezuela by an ARMY called Adilay. Adilay explains that due to the crisis they had to relocate to Chile to work and send money home to their family. Adilay explains that hundreds of people would line up before the markets opened in order to buy food and medical treatments. Baby formula is especially hard to come by. Adilay expresses wanting to cry from happiness after finding out ARMY were doing a project to support Venezuela.

We also created a bonus mission, Van To The Future, to showcase the beauty and culture of Venezuela.

As per usual, a summary of ARMY’s generosity was sent to BTS and Big Hit Entertainment. Ms. Gloria Matiuzzi, the President of Cuatro Por Venezuela wrote and sent this letter to them in thanks for their inspiration that caused ARMY to band together to help them help others.
